    Step 3: Connect data

    Prepare for success

    To complete this step:

    • You must have Administrator role permissions.
    • You must have one of the following product versions:
      • Nintex for SharePoint 2010, 2013, or 2016
      • Nintex for Office 365 (an active tenant)
      • Nintex Workflow Cloud

    Connect your data

    In order to analyze Nintex data, you first need to connect your data sources to Nintex Hawkeye. Once connected and authorized, each data source will appear on the Nintex data sources page.

    Connect to Nintex Workflow Cloud

    To connect your Nintex Workflow Cloud data source

    1. Click Nintex data sources on the navigation bar.

      The Nintex data sources page opens.

    2. Click Add Nintex data source and select the Nintex Workflow Cloud data source type.

    3. In the Add a Nintex Workflow Cloud data source section, authorize your tenancy by completing the following settings:

      • Nintex Workflow Cloud tenancy name: Specify the tenancy name (as the administrator for this tenancy).

        Example: https://{tenant-name}.workflowcloud.com

      • Click Authorize.

        Note: Additional authorization steps may be required based on your setup.

    4. Sign in to your account: Specify your Nintex Workflow Cloud tenancy account credentials and click Sign in
    5. Authorize Nintex Hawkeye: Click Accept to allow access.

      The Nintex data sources page updates and displays the connected Nintex Workflow Cloud data source tile.

    6. Republish your workflows to ensure that Nintex Hawkeye begins receiving workflow events for this data source.

    Note: All published workflows are captured by Nintex Hawkeye, regardless of whether they are set to Production or Development in the workflow designer.

    Connect to Office 365

    To connect your Office 365 data source

    1. Click Nintex data sources on the navigation bar.

      The Nintex data sources page opens.

    2. Click Add Nintex data source and select the Office 365 data source type.

    3. In the Add a SharePoint for Office 365 Nintex data source section, complete the following fields:

      • SharePoint for Office 365 site collection URL: Specify the URL of the SharePoint site collection containing the workflows you want.

      • Title for site collection in Hawkeye (optional): Specify a title for this site collection in Hawkeye.

        Click Authorize.

        Note: Additional authorization steps may be required based on your setup.

    4. Sign in to your account: Specify your Office 365 account credentials and click Sign in
    5. Authorize Nintex Hawkeye: Click Accept to allow access.

      The Nintex data sources page updates and displays the connected Office 365 data source.

    6. Republish your workflows to ensure that Nintex Hawkeye begins receiving workflow events for this data source.

    Connect to Nintex for SharePoint on-premises

    As an administrator, the initial step in deploying Nintex Hawkeye involves adding a data source, installing Nintex Hawkeye on your on-premises server farm, and then completing the setup in Central Administration.
