    How to replace a Microsoft connection in Nintex App Studio

    How do I replace a Microsoft connection with a corporate connection for Nintex App Studio apps?

     

    ANSWER

    These instructions will walk you through the process of editing an existing app to change from using a Microsoft connection to a Corporate connection.

    WARNING: Removing a connection will only apply to new users signing into your app. Existing app users will need manually remove their profile and sign back in. For full details on this process please see the [Support KB - INSERT LINK TO: How to replace a Microsoft account with Nintex Mobile].

    Replace Microsoft connections with Corporate connections for Nintex App Studio apps

    1. Sign in to https://appstudio.nintex.com

    2. Click Settings.

    3. In the navigation pane click Connection management.

    4. Click Add New. In the Add connections window:

    a. Type a Display name e.g. Acme Industries.

    b. Select Corporate as the Type of connection c. Type your server URL in the Tenancy address field e.g. https://server.com

    d. Type the Domain.

    e. Click to Mark as default connection if required.

    f. Click Add

    5. In the top navigation click Apps.

    6. Click the app you are replacing a Microsoft Connection for.

    7. In the navigation pane click Connections

    8. To remove the existing Microsoft connection

    a. Click the trash canicon on the connection.

    b. Click Delete.

    9. To add the Corporate connection, click the plus icon. In the Add connection window:

    a. Select the connection you created in step 4.

    b. Click Add

    10. Click Save & Build.

    Nintex App Studio rebuilds your app and you can distribute the app to your users. Once all apps have been updated and there are no longer any apps using a Microsoft connection, you can remove the Microsoft connection from your App Studio tenancy.

    Remove Microsoft Connections

    *WARNING: Once you remove your existing Microsoft connection from Connection management, you cannot add it back again. You should only remove the Microsoft connection once all your apps have been updated and tested.

    1. Sign in to https://appstudio.nintex.com

    2. Click Settings.

    3. In the navigation pane click Connection management.

    4. Locate the Microsoft connection:

         a. Click the trash can icon.

         b. Click OK on the Delete connection prompt.
